South Russia Forum: economics, sociology, political science, socio-economic geography/human geography (ISSN 2221-7460) is a scientific journal, founded and issued biannually since October, 2010 by North Caucasus Research Institute of Economic and Social Problems at Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don, Russia. In 2012 the journal was included into RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index).
Particular emphasis is placed on the following issues:
General-purpose aspects of regional social organization.
Methodology and methods for effective interdisciplinary synthesis of region-based social sciences.
Social, political and economic agendas of modern Russian regionalism in terms of globalization.
Holistic analysis, predictive modeling of dynamic processes in location-specific economic and social systems in the south of Russia; urban geography, development problems of agrarian territories, areas of cross-border and trans-border social and economic cooperation.
Economic, social, political and demographic challenges facing constituent regions of Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts.
The journal is funded through extra-budgetary resources of North Caucasus Research Institute of Economic and Social Problems. The articles are published free of charge.
